About Mount Vernon Country Club:

Mount Vernon Country Club boasts excellent golfing facilities with its 18-hole championship golf course. The course provides four tee selections, from 5,068 to 6,300 yards, to challenge golfers of all skill levels.

The course winds its way through the original forest of George Washington's Mount Vernon plantation and is enhanced by the presence of Dogue Creek, a Potomac/Chesapeake tidal tributary which lends a water hazard challenge on 14 of Mount Vernon's 18 holes.

Continuing course improvements include stream bank erosion control, expansion and aesthetic enhancement of ponds and creeks, and further course beautification including a phased conversion of Mount Vernon's most outstanding course design characteristic, its mature tree population, with varieties and sizes that will maintain the challenge that makes the course unique in Northern Virginia. This third phase is under the design guidance of noted architect, Bill Love, GCAA, and his firm, Love Associates.

Mount Vernon Country Club is proud to be an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Audubon Cooperative Sanctuaries enable golf facilities to protect the environment by enhancing precious natural areas and wildlife habitats. In order to achieve Audubon Certification, a golf facility is required to demonstrate that it is maintaining the highest degree of environmental quality in many areas including Environmental Planning, Wildlife & Habitat Management, Outreach & Education, Chemical Use Reduction & Safety, Water Conservation, and Water Quality Management.

Mount Vernon Country Club prides itself on its Junior Program and Junior Golfers. MVCC is proud to offer Family Tees. A set of Blue Tees and a set of Gold Tees have been added on each front nine hole to enhance the family golf experience.
