Early on, Mr. Nicklaus and the development team made a commitment to design a truly unique course—one that has become a classic among the premier courses and is currently ranked “5th Best Course in Texas” by the Dallas Morning News and it has been rated the top golf course in the Hill Country by Dallas Morning News every year since opening. Rather than fronting homesites closely on both sides of the fairway, homes are nestled among acreage estates and set far back from the course, hidden by rolling hills, live oaks and native grasses. A series of hilltops defines the perimeter of the course as it meanders through natural valleys below. Extraordinary natural water features present challenges, but are too beautiful to be called hazards.
