Paying homage to its course title, each hole is uniquely named to provide additional enjoyment as you progress through your round. “Analysis is Paralysis”, “Little Possum” and “Big Possum”, and “T’aint Easy” are just a few that are sure to spark a bit of laughter, even if your game doesn’t. For the rest, strategy is crucial in deciding your layup and the approach over the water may have you gripping that club a bit tighter than usual.
Possum Trot’s finishing hole, #18 (a.k.a. “Oh, No”), is a great way to finish your round. This par 5 closes within view of the clubhouse and the fountain pond. Long hitters have to work against the prevailing ocean breeze, an uphill fairway and guardian water hazard water to get on in two.
