About White Beeches Golf & Country Club:

White Beeches Golf and Country Club, named in honor of the beech trees that originally lined the course, was incorporated in 1918 and in 1920 the course was extensively redesigned by world renowned golf course architect Walter J. Travis. His theories and philosophies concerning golf techniques and strategies found voice in his designs. The Walter J. Travis legend lives on in the many courses he designed that remain classics to this day, such as, Westchester Country Club's West Course, Garden City Golf Club, Canoe Brook Country Club (North Course) and White Beeches Golf & Country Club.

White Beeches’ championship design displays the subtlety, playability and beauty that was, and remains, the Walter J. Travis trademark. White Beeches’ possesses Travis’s most famed characteristics, a premium placed on accuracy, consistency and the short game. It is characterized as a Northeast parkland style course with small greens that are heavily bunkered with water coming into play on several holes. The par 72 layout has a USGA Course Rating of 72.4 playing to a USGA Slope Rating of 138.

White Beeches has hosted many prestigious Golf Tournaments over the years. From US Open Qualifiers, State and Met Golf Association Qualifiers and Championships, Bergen County Opens, NJ State Amateur and Mid-Amateur Championships to National AJGA Junior Tournaments. White Beeches’ Membership and professional staff pride themselves on opening our course to participate in the growth and development of the game of golf.
