About Manasquan River Golf Club:

In 1922, Manasquan River Golf Club purchased 150 acres of farmland and rolling hills that included 1800 feet of waterfront property along the Manasquan River. The property, part of the Old Squan Highlands, includes the highest point on the Atlantic Seaboard from Atlantic Highlands to Florida.

Golf course architect Robert White was commissioned to build nine holes in the pastures and swampy meadowlands along the river, which opened for play in 1923. Then in 1926, the second nine holes opened for play in the elevated woodlands and laurel-laden ravines overlooking the river. Manasquan River Golf Club remains a course with flavor unlike any other at the Jersey Shore, presenting two distinct faces.
