About Hunting Creek Country Club:

The golf course was designed by the late Ben Wihry, a longtime club member, in 1964. Many changes to the original layout have taken place over the years. Famed golf course architect Arthur Hill redesigned all the bunkers on the course in 1989. During its history, the club has hosted nearly every major golf event in the state, including three Kentucky Open Championships over the last twenty-five years. In the mid 1970's Hunting Creek was the site of several LPGA Bluegrass Invitational Tournaments.

In 2010 the golf course successfully went through a dynamic construction program. The black tees were lengthened in a few locations, all of the greens complexes (tees & greens added the newest bent grass variety of T1), the addition and re positioning of fairway bunkers and added course drainage made HCCC a fantastic test of golf, yet remain fair to play for all members.
