About Crystal Woods Golf Club:

Crystal Woods Golf Course was originally designed by Bill Langford in the early 1950s. The 9-hole, par 37 course was then known as Bit O' Heather G.C. until 1967. In 1967, architect Charles Wagstaff blended the old with the new as the redesigned course became a par 72 with 18 holes. Course owners Richard and Mary Ann Craig directed this expansion as Crystal Woods became the first course of its kind, semi-private/daily fee course in McHenry County. The course opened for play in the summer of 1969.

OUTINGS: If you are planning a golf outing or fundraiser, Crystal Woods is the facility for you! We have an experienced staff that can custom fit your group, large or small, to an enjoyable day of fun-filled golf followed by several dining options in our rustic-themed banquet room. Seating for post-round dining for up to 150 people is available.

We offer large groups (over 72 players) the option of a shotgun start, which includes a driving range warm-up, lunch, and beverage cart service during play. We also provide golf cart and on-course event signage.
