About Sandy Hollow Golf Course:
Opened in 1930 on the city's south side, this beautiful and challenging course is by far the most popular of the five Park District courses. Golf Digest rated this course three stars. Par is 71 at this 18-hole tree lined fairway course of 6,228 yards. Sandy Hollow is certified by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary and placed first in the Public Space category of the 2002 City of Gardens Rockford in Bloom Awards.
