About Country Club of Peoria:

The Country Club of Peoria was founded in 1897 by a group of leaders who in an effort too, “encourage athletic exercises, recreation and social enjoyment”, leased 27 acres on Grandview Drive to form one of the nation’s first country clubs. During a visit to Peoria in 1910 President Theodore Roosevelt declared Grandview Drive as “the world’s most beautiful drive”. Situated in the midst of the breathtaking beauty that is Grandview Drive, the Country Club of Peoria offers its guests and members a panoramic view of the Illinois River. Today's membership of over 500 families and their guests have enjoyed our many amenities including our clubhouse, exquisite dining, 18 hole golf facility, pro shop, pool house, 4 tennis courts and 2 Har-tru clay courts. Visitors to our club should expect a high standard of individual care, outstanding food and beverage service, and ample recreational opportunities that have always given distinction to the Country Club of Peoria
