About Coosa Country Club:

Coosa Country Club’s historic, 18-hole golf course winds along the banks of the Coosa River, providing a rewarding and accommodating game for players of all skill levels from the novice to the more seasoned player. Premier conditioning and Bermuda fairways await those who accept the challenge. Members play the game as it is meant to be played, without distraction of intrusive residential development, commercial enterprise or annoying traffic.

The course was opened to only 100 private members in 1910 and hosted some of the earliest play of the game in the South. Golfing legends Bobby Jones and Babe Didrickson have played this course, which was originally the Coosa Dairy Farm, established on the site in the 1890’s. Coosa Country Club has been host to the Georgia State Amateur Championship seven times, 2006 being the most recent.

Complete practice facilities encourage members of every level to sharpen their skills and our teaching professionals are always on hand to foster improvement. Brian Albertson, Head Golf Professional, sits on the National PGA Ambassador Committee and is Past President of the Georgia Junior Golf Foundation, and served as Chair of the Georgia PGA Golf Committee for many years. An upscale, well-stocked golf shop offers the finest in golf equipment and apparel for both men and women.
