Mill River Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Stratford, Connecticut.
In 1918 Mill River Country Club was farmland â€" the Columbus Farm. In the fall of 1923 a group of Weatogue Golf Club members organized and started Mill River. Originally, Mill River offered only nine holes. In 1925, with an increased membership of 200, the course was expanded to eighteen holes. Tom Winton of Tuckahoe, N.Y. was contracted to expand the course and to redesign the original nine holes. The 18-hole course was officially opened in September 1926.
Mill River Country Club is nestled along the Housatonic River on the coast of Long Island Sound.
