One of the most respected country clubs in Northern California and the San Francisco Area, Marin Country Club owes its stellar reputation not only to consistent Fine Dining, but to its well-known par 72 golf course. With renovation work completed in April 2008, the renovated golf course (designed by the late John Harbottle) north of San Francisco boasts new irrigation, drainage, bunkers, and greens, all of which were met by an enthusiastic membership upon the Grand Re-Opening. The course has been home to the 1993 U.S. Open Championship Qualification Tournament, the 2004 and 2011 U.S. Amateur Championship Qualifying Tournament, the 2008 U.S. Open Senior Amateur Championship Qualifying Tournament, and the 2010 U.S. Mid Amateur Championship Qualifying.
