About Gulf Shores Golf Club:

The Golf Club's 18 championship holes were designed by the renowned father-son team of Jay and Carter Morrish, and feature a few sharp doglegs, bunkers, and the occasional water hazard. The course was built in the 1960's, and was the first golf course in Gulf Shores, Alabama. In November 2005, the course closed to undergo a complete renovation. Taking place under the guidance of Jay and Carter Morrish, the renovation lengthened the par 71 course by 300 yards and added numerous water features, enhanced fairways, and additional bunkers. The result is a spectacular product that no golf enthusiast will want to miss. Collared shirts are required and golfers are welcome to wear shorts, but no cut-offs please.

This scenic course is home to an abundance of wildlife. Squirrels, raccoons, and alligators are just a few of the typical residents. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on several holes, and numerous oak and pine trees can affect your shots.
