Magnolia Meadows opened November 16th, 2001 hosting a tournament for the South Shelby Chamber of Commerce. It is not too long, too difficult, too expensive or take too long to play. It is only 3,684 yards long. It plays, many say, to an inflated par 68. Being a new course, rates have been held to below cost to encourage new play. It takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes to play the course. The fairways are 419 Bermuda and the greens are Tift Dwarf Bermuda. The course was designed and construction supervised by Rick Rounsavall of Pure Turf, Inc.. The man knows his grasses and it shows.
